Thanks to the fact that bicycle transport really reached its peak, traders and bicycle rentals tried to use it. The so-called bike-sharing was widely used in its time.

Over time, however, supply exceeded demand and especially larger cities stopped managing the situation with discarded bicycles.
People simply left them wherever they just fell out of their hands.
As a result, the sidewalks were flooded with millions of bicycles. Many bikes ended up in places that can be quite well called bicycle burial grounds.
