Top tips for a year of healthy lunchboxes
Kids eat around a third of their daily food intake at school. Providing a nourishing
lunchbox goes a long way in shaping their health, not to mention helping them
concentrate and learn better at school. Here's a few tips to help you along:
• Pack a main meal item - like a sandwich, wrap, sushi or frittata.
• Add a fruit or vegetable snack- like a piece of fruit, veggie sticks, bite-sized
tomatoes, grapes or berries.
• Top up with another snack from a different food group - such as yogurt,
grainy crackers with cheese or plain popcorn.
• Remember a bottle of water - to help them stay well hydrated throughout the day.
Avoid juice or any other sweetened drinks. Our kids are sweet enough!
